Who we are
Gruber Family Farm: A Legacy of Hard Work and Fresh Produce
The Gruber Family Farm has been a cornerstone of the local agricultural community since its founding in 1948. Established by Birnell Gruber upon his return from World War II, the farm was built with dedication and a vision for providing fresh, high-quality produce. Alongside his wife, Mildred, Birnell worked tirelessly to cultivate the land and create a sustainable farming business.
What began as a small operation has grown into a thriving family farm that continues to serve the community more than 75 years later. Today, the farm is run by their son, Stanley Gruber, who has upheld the family’s commitment to fresh, locally grown produce. Over the years, the farm has adapted to changing agricultural practices while maintaining its core values of quality and sustainability.
The Gruber Family Farm sells its produce through multiple avenues, including popular stands at local farmers markets. Additionally, they operate a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, offering subscription boxes filled with seasonal fruits and vegetables. This service allows customers to receive fresh, farm-grown produce delivered directly to them, strengthening the connection between the farm and the community.
With deep roots and a strong legacy, the Gruber Family Farm continues to thrive, preserving the hard work and vision of its founders while adapting to modern agricultural trends. The dedication of the Gruber family ensures that future generations will continue to enjoy fresh, locally grown produce for years to come.
